17 May 2013 public conference on creative urban development will be held in Klaipeda, Lithuania.

The conference will bring together policy makers across all creative cultural industry levels, creative infrastructure developers, and other stakeholders dealing with Brownfield conversion. UCP project partners will meet with the local creative business community, and anyone who wants to know more about creative infrastructure possibilities in medium size cities.

What you can expect

  • Presentation of good examples of urban renewal with the help of creative industry clustering and creative or high-tech innovations
  • Reimagining what possibilities middle size cities can offer towards creating everyday life styles, business, creativity and human interaction
  • An interactive presentation about the science centres where research, education, artistic creation and entertainment will run in parallel.
  • Discuss the cooperation of universities and business to strengthen the creative competitiveness of countries and cities, including CCI input to an integral and smart economy.
  • Participation in the networking of creative people and creative industry stakeholders in medium size European cities
