Generator 2012

Sweden- the world's most creative country! - Generator 2012

Sweden has been nominated the world’s most creative country in several surveys. A high level of tolerance, openness, and technological prowess are some of the factors that contribute to our advanced position. In addition, we have great access to high-level competence. But what can be done in order to continue being at the forefront in the future? And how are the cultural and creative industries in Sweden going to become leading at content development, driving growth, creating attractive locations and adding value to other sectors? Creativity, innovation and leadership are three important building blocks and therefore the keywords for this year’s Generator conference in Gävle 26–27 November.

Creativity: Re-thinking, ingenuity, uniqueness – having the courage to go where no one else has gone before; how can creativity be stimulated?

Innovation: New products, services and business models can drive development towards a more sustainable society. How can more initiatives be taken from idea to market?

Leadership: A society with an increasing number of creative and innovative people, companies and organisations, puts new demands on leadership. How can new forms of leadership be developed and implemented?

Among the speakers at the conference are the Swedish Minister for Enterprise Annie Lööf, Emma Stenström from Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship, Julia Romanowska from the medical university Karolinska Institutet, Carlo Einarsson from Iggesund Paperboard, Hans Hassle from Plantagon and many, many more.
